Between May and September there will be five events featuring film favorites from the 80s. Food trucks will be on site and the movies will begin shortly after dusk. Bring your bikes, blankets, family and friends to this new Indy Parks event.

Directed by James Whale. Starring Robert Young and Constance Cummings. Another mystery-comedy where couples awaken after a party to discover the party’s host has been murdered, but they’re too impaired to remember the details. (Runtime 81 min.)

Special effects wizard George Pal (1908 – 80) came from Hungary as an ace animator of the Puppetoon series in the 1930s and 40s. This is his first feature picture. It stars Jimmy Durante as part of a family that has seen better times. Things begin to change when they encounter a squirrel that they name Rupert. (Runtime: 87 min.) Tickets are $3.00 at the door.

Monsters. Outlaws. Comedy. Popcorn. Once a month, The Garfield Park Arts Center hosts Vintage Movie Night in its gallery. Film historian Eric Grayson provides the films, genuine reel projector, and fascinating stories behind the clips and movies featured.
Tickets are just $4.00, meaning you can bring a fiver and still have enough for a soda or popcorn. Yep, all concessions are $1.00 apiece.

Karloff is best known for his monster roles. One of his first starring non-horror roles was in a British TV show, Colonel March of Scotland Yard (1953). Karloff plays the persnickety head of the “Department of Queer Complaints”. We will also show rare episodes of Boris Karloff in The Veil (1958). (Runtime: 90mins)
