If you were asked to show your artistic “essence” on a 4X6-inch card, what might it look like? In September we are challenging your family to create miniature works of art out of a variety of fun materials. Once you do, we invite you to take one home and donate another for our Trading Card Exhibit.
Bring your family to Arts for All at the GPAC Sept 3 -25 on Saturdays and Sundays during open hours to participate in this activity. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

WHAT: The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark will be performed by the Garfield Park Shakespeare Company. Witness treachery, revenge, and moral corruption in one of the most powerful and influential tragedies in the English language.
WHEN: September 9-10, 16-17, at 8:00 pm.
WHERE: The MacAllister Amphitheater adjacent to the GPAC.
COST: Free
No reservations required. Seating available along with open lawn. For more information, call (317) 327-7135. Driving directions can be found here.

Join us September 3, 2011 for “America We Remember”. This free event follows the annual Miracle Mile Parade on Madison Ave.
Music program begins at 6:30 P.M. at The MacAllister Center. Fireworks will begin at dark and will originate in the north-east side of the park so they will be visible from most areas in the park.
Come to the park early and bring along your own blankets, chairs and a picnic!
For more information, call 327-PARK.

We look forward to seeing you and your family at our upcoming art activities! Stay tuned for more details.
